Knutsford Wedding Photography
Liz and Pete got married at the Mere Court Hotel in Knutsford. This wedding was absolutely fantastic from start to finish, a perfect example of Knutsford Wedding Photography at Mere Court. I spoke with Liz and Pete after the wedding to get a bit of insight into their wedding plans and any advice they have for other couples who are thinking of getting married at Mere Court.
Why did you chose Mere Court for your wedding venue?
We chose Mere Court because it is a more of a personal wedding venue. It is more like a set back, private country house as opposed to a big golf club or spa venue. The food there is very, very good and we wanted somewhere with accommodation as we had elderly and disabled guests who could then return to their room as and when they wanted to. It offers a beautiful setting for photos both inside and out, so if it rained it still would work well as a venue. The conservatory offers a light and airy feel over looking the fountain and very good value for the area of Knutsford.
What was your favourite part of the wedding day?
The favourite part of the day was probably the ceremony at the church, but the whole day was amazing and we loved all of it. At Mere Court, the best part was the wedding breakfast. It meant all of the speeches were done and people could fully relax, and sitting down as husband and wife to eat some brilliant food with everyone who you love in one room was a really special part of the day.
The trip in the car was a highlight too after the ceremony- being husband and wife on your own for the first time was great and very exciting.
Why did you choose DMP to shoot your wedding?
We chose Dan for our wedding pictures because of the style in which he shoots his photos. We didn’t want any cheesy or overly staged photos but rather natural photos and let the occasion speak for itself through the pictures. We enjoyed seeing his samples on Pinterest and Facebook and he seemed very skilled in the post editing and adjustments to give an amazing atmosphere to his photos, which we desperately wanted for our day so we could have some nice mementos to treasure for the rest of our lives.
What advice would you give other couple planning a wedding at Mere Court?
The advice I’d give people having a wedding at Mere Court is don’t be afraid to ask for anything that you want for your day. The staff are so helpful and will make sure everything possible is done to make sure your day is everything you want it to be. I would make sure that the final details meeting is done in great detail and setup a spreadsheet and table plans on the computer to ensure that you have as much control over the venue as you want.
I also wanted to give a big shout out to all the awesome suppliers at the wedding including Gardenia Wedding Cars and Knights of Disco entertainment. The staff at Mere Court were and always are fantastic and it was a real pleasure to be back there again. Get in touch if you are interested in Knutsford Wedding Photography.
