Mytton Fold Wedding Photography – Tracy & Chris

Mytton Fold Wedding Photography

Tracy and Chris’ Wedding at Mytton Fold

What a fantastic wedding at Mytton Fold. Today was possibly the most rainy day I have ever photographed a wedding. On the morning of every wedding, the first thing I do is look out the window and see how the weather is and how it might affect the day. I instantly knew that it was going to be a very wet day and probably wouldn’t stop. I was right but as I always say to my clients, this can sometimes be an advantage in terms of wedding photography.

When I arrived at Mytton Fold, I joined the bridal party who were getting ready upstairs. I always like to capture bridal preparations for two main reasons; firstly because getting ready is a huge part of the day for the girls and secondly, this is the one part of the day that the groom doesn’t get to experience with his soon to be bride. Chris was in one of the other rooms adjusting the length of his trousers, a job always left best until the morning of the wedding.

I took the opportunity to go and photograph the ceremony and reception rooms at Mytton Fold. The rooms are fantastic, really large with great decorations. In the reception room, the top table is on a stage which, in the words of Tracy’s Mum ‘is nice to look out over the minions’. The stage was also used by the band later on which adds a nice atmosphere to the party as it feels more like a concert. The ceremony room doubles up as a private bar which is revealed by sliding the screen back which gives easy access to the bar from the reception room.

The ceremony was fantastic and afterwards, we braved the weather outside to get some rain shots with just the two of them. This is a really nice looking effect as you can see at the rain drops in the air, it almost looks like snow during the winter. The reception started later on and more guests started arriving in large numbers. Soon enough it was packed in the bar. The band were rehearsing and everyone was ready to start the party. The staff opened the door and soon enough it was time for the first dance.

I really enjoy Mytton Fold wedding photography and this was a fantastic wedding to be part of. A huge thanks to all those who played a part in bringing the day together and all the best to Tracy and Chris for the future. All images by Daniel Murrientes – Lancashire Wedding Photographer
